Blog event : The Body Shop Event

Last saturday, I attended an event held at the body shop in Newport on the isle of Wight.
It was to celebrate the launch of the new refit for the store. They had a meet and greet and make up tutorial session With @sailorsarah a fellow fashion blogger from the isle of wight.

The make up assistant roxy applied these amazing  products on Sara ; face toner, moisturiser and  she then went onto products that would work well with redness, or blemishes to the skin. (all products can be used on any skin types).
Sara was keen to try out new products, she also braved wearing pink eyeshadow (as she is well known for her dark colours!) Her own mum said how nice it is to see her wearing colour  hahaha.

Get the look:
Eyes-Shimmer cube palette 26 hot pink £16
Cheeks-honey bronze bronzing powder £13
Blusher-All in one check colour bubblegum £8
Foundation- all in one face base £14
Lashes-Super volume mascara £10
Tea tree flawless bb cream £8
Lighting touch universal radiance £14
Lips-Colour crush lipstick passionate pink £10
Vitamin c skin revivar £15

While at the event I ended up bumping into old school friends I hadnt seen in years! So it was lovely to catch up at such a chilled and relaxing event. The body shop girls also put together a collection of cupcakes and yummy ice tea shots for the event to raise money for missisle.com.

Once the MUA finished the makeup tutorial we had a look around at the new green tea range, where we were kindly treated to a hand massage with these new products; Fuji green tea body scrub and Fuji green tea body sorbet. The texture of the body scrub was very different to what I was expecting, It was light & silky with a fresh tingly feel to it. Once applied you remove the access to apply the sorbet. Again I was expecting this to be a heavy sorbet but it was so light and cooling. The difference between each arm was amazing, one was left soft and fresh while  the other not so pampered!

Harvey Browns

Harvey Browns           The Island's Deluxe Farmshop During the month of October we normally have a tradition of picking pumpkins at Arreton barns in farmer jacks farmshop, but they recently moved the pumpkins to Harvey Browns. it was our first time visiting since they opened and what a gorgeous place it was. The front entrance was full of a stunning line up of white and orange pumpkins and the place was booming. We had cake and coffee in the café. All their cakes are homemade and they have a selection of cakes that are gluten free and vegan. There's also a tantalising breakfast and lunch menu. they have an open kitchen area where you can see your food being prepped! How fancy ey!? The caramel latte was delicious, I must admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob...you'd definitely want to indulge and try it you won't regret it. As you leave the café you enter the famous farm shop itself, it's full of fresh meat, br
