Interview with:Scarlett Dixon

Scarlett Dixon is a lifestyle, travel and fashion blogger, who brings us posts from London and abroad. Her instagram is full of elegant dinners with yummy dessert and fashionable things we all want to copy! Scarlett also organises #bloggersfestival which I was invited to but unfortunately cannot attend but for all the time and effort you've put in I wish you all the best for tomorrow Scarlett! To read more on this lovely and genuine gorgeous lady, carry on reading below!

1-What's in your makeup bag?
I actually have a relatively small make-up bag as I tend to keep things as natural as possible, I really hate the feeling of wearing heavy make-up! Foundation wise, I use Clinique Superbalanced followed by a Nars powder, Rouge Bunny Rouge Bronzer and a Guerlain powder highlighter. Then I use a Bobbie Brown eyeshadow, Laura Mercier Mascara and a bit of YSL Lipstick. The only 'high end' stuff I own is in my make-up bag - although I do find drugstore can be just as good sometimes!

2-What's your daily fragrance?
Either Victoria's Secret Coconut and Vanilla (Coconut Passion) body spray or Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. I like tropical scents that make me feel as though I'm on holiday! Rihanna Rebelle is another favourite!

3-What's your outfit of the day?
At the moment I'm in my pyjamas answering emails - the glamorous life of a blogger eh - however my current favourite go-to is an off the shoulder playsuit and white birkenstocks!

4-Your  the organiser of the bloggers festival, what made you start up such a great event for bloggers and why?
Thank you! I began organising small events in 2011, after realising that it might be nice for bloggers to come together and chat in real life (rather than just online) at a non-branded, informal place. I hosted a few lunches, which went really well (in fact, many of my close blogger friends now are those I met at these early events) and then moved onto a larger scale venue, with more guests. I always worry no-one will turn up, as it still astounds me that people actually come along and enjoy it however there's honestly no better feeling than mid-way through an event, with everything in place, the guests are having a good time and all the months of hard-work on show!

6-What would be your ideal holiday and why?
I love hot climates so anywhere I could catch a tan would be perfect. I'd love to explore further afield than Europe - in fact, I'm hoping to go to LA, Thailand and somewhere incredible like The Caribbean next summer when I graduate. There's nothing I enjoy more than travelling, exploring and relaxing!

7-If you could collaborate with a designer who would it be and why?
I'm not a massive lover of high end designer fashion, nor do I religiously follow any designers work but I'd love to create or style a collection for somewhere like Boohoo or Missguided, as I absolutely love their stuff - and think it's more up my street!

8-in your own opinion ,Do you need money to be stylish ?
Not at all, I think style is definitely innate and can't be bought - nor do you need it to be stylish. Many of the most stylish people I know are just very savvy about where to shop and when - you wouldn't be able to tell otherwise! Zara is a great place to create some of the designer styles. Sticking to simple colours, cuts and feminine shapes is a really easy way to make your outfit look 10 times more expensive!

9-Which is your number one beauty brand ?
I love Clinique - their products are beautiful and really do live up to their claims. They might be investment pieces, but they're so worth it!

10-what are your top tips in fashion?
Don't always follow the trends. Well, at least not to the letter. I have always been a strong believer that you should dress for you, rather than to keep up with whats 'in fashion'. I used to try and keep up with what my friends were wearing at school, despite the fact they had very different body shapes to mine and as a result, I constantly felt frumpy and uncomfortable. Now, I do take note of what's on trend but I make things my own and many of my favourite items are classical styles with a muted palette or pattern. If you want to wear something, wear it!

Harvey Browns

Harvey Browns           The Island's Deluxe Farmshop During the month of October we normally have a tradition of picking pumpkins at Arreton barns in farmer jacks farmshop, but they recently moved the pumpkins to Harvey Browns. it was our first time visiting since they opened and what a gorgeous place it was. The front entrance was full of a stunning line up of white and orange pumpkins and the place was booming. We had cake and coffee in the café. All their cakes are homemade and they have a selection of cakes that are gluten free and vegan. There's also a tantalising breakfast and lunch menu. they have an open kitchen area where you can see your food being prepped! How fancy ey!? The caramel latte was delicious, I must admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob...you'd definitely want to indulge and try it you won't regret it. As you leave the café you enter the famous farm shop itself, it's full of fresh meat, br
