The Venus awards Isle Of Wight Launch

I was invited to the venus awards isle of wight launch, which was hosted at premier ford house (category sponsor for "small business" award). The evening started off with presecco and cupcakes made by the lovely nikki from Tikerty-Boo, www.tikertyboocupcakes.co.uk . Many of us ladies were found talking and networking amongst ourselves while the samba Solent group performed for our evenings entertainment. There were little stalls on display, one of which was from The isle of wight pearl, (category sponsor for " inspirational women" award). The night was flowing with bubbly , canapés and friendly women. Mary Burgess the regional partner for the isle of wight venus awards 2015 grabbed our attention by introducing us to the awards categories and all the sponsors. There was also a raffle raising  money for isle of wight youth trust which was very close to Mary's heart. The prizes were from the isle of wight pearl, wight link, the isle of wight zoo and many more, I unfortunately didn't win, Boo! As we were leaving the event they were handing out a few goody bags which were filled up with premier ford goodies and one which was my favourite a yankee candle air freshener! All in all the night was lovely and well organised by the lovely Mary who has put in so much hard work and effort!

Harvey Browns

Harvey Browns           The Island's Deluxe Farmshop During the month of October we normally have a tradition of picking pumpkins at Arreton barns in farmer jacks farmshop, but they recently moved the pumpkins to Harvey Browns. it was our first time visiting since they opened and what a gorgeous place it was. The front entrance was full of a stunning line up of white and orange pumpkins and the place was booming. We had cake and coffee in the café. All their cakes are homemade and they have a selection of cakes that are gluten free and vegan. There's also a tantalising breakfast and lunch menu. they have an open kitchen area where you can see your food being prepped! How fancy ey!? The caramel latte was delicious, I must admit I'm a bit of a coffee snob...you'd definitely want to indulge and try it you won't regret it. As you leave the café you enter the famous farm shop itself, it's full of fresh meat, br
